Join Los Nettos

Your school, business, enterprise, city, or network, can the Los Nettos network consortium. Ether as an Associate or a full Member, you can be a part of a special network.

As a consortium, we offer two primary ways to join, either as an Associate or a Member.

  • Los Nettos offers an associate member program for organizations wishing to connect to the Los Nettos regional network without becoming a full consortium member.

    Associates are entitled to purchase services from Los Nettos, and connect to the network, on an ad-hoc basis using whatever connectivity is required. Los Nettos can source and manage access to our network, or Associates may choose to obtain their own last mile connectivity.

  • The Los Nettos consortium is made up of organizations that share in the costs for operating the network and collectively determine the network’s future direction. The consortium allows members to participate in advanced networking technologies and networking initiatives, while having a voice in decisions that affect their ability to provide high-end services to their campuses or organizations.

    Consortium members appoint representatives to the Los Nettos Board of Directors and Los Nettos Technical Advisory Committee. These groups meet several times a year to review activity and set policies and directions.

    Members may be asked to operate as hub for the Consortium to act as a connection point for additional Associates, and redundancy for other Members. Therefore, Members may be required to provide space and power at their sites for Los Nettos networking hardware and associate connections.

    However, hub connectivity does have mutual benefits in that Los Nettos will acquire, manage, and operate high availability, redundant, network connectivity to your network.

How To Choose

Associates primarily benefit from:

  • Full access to 10/100/400G wavelength products

  • IP transit or dedicated, secured, Internet access

  • Point to point and layer 2 network services

  • DDoS, firewall, and cloud add-on services

  • USC-based NOC, local engineers

Members would include the same as Associates, but also:

  • Fully managed diverse WAN connectivity

  • Internet failure planning and analysis

  • 24/7/365 AI-enabled custom integrated monitoring including netflow

  • Decision making via the technical committee

  • Authority via a single Board of Directors seat
